About Fire Alarm Cert Prep
Fire Alarm Cert Prep is a free, independent study resource for NICET Fire Alarm Systems certification, Levels I through IV. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by NICET (the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) or NFPA (the National Fire Protection Association). Always confirm current requirements against your own NICET candidate record and your state or local fire-alarm licensing authority, since requirements change.
We built this site around what the existing NICET prep landscape does not cover: a navigable, dated view of the four-level requirements ladder, help actually documenting qualifying work experience (the most-cited pain point in the fire-alarm community), and a state-by-state view of which states accept NICET certification as a licensing qualifier. Practice questions support the site; they are not the headline.

Editorial standards
Every exam-format, fee, and work-element fact we publish is sourced to the current NICET Fire Alarm Systems Candidate Handbook or an official NICET program page, and dated. Every state licensing fact is sourced to that state's own fire marshal or licensing board page, and dated. An unverifiable figure is removed, never guessed. Practice questions are original, authored from public exam blueprints and the underlying NFPA 72 structure, never reproducing code text, and never scraped or reworded from a competitor's bank.
